Job Description:

Mount Hart Wilderness Lodge is seeking a dynamic and organized Tour Coordinator to join our team in the Kimberley. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a stunning natural environment while managing land tours and scenic helicopter flights, ensuring that our guests have unforgettable experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Tour Planning and Coordination:

  • Collaborate with the lodge management to design and create exciting land tours and scenic helicopter flight packages.

  • Develop detailed itineraries, including schedules, destinations, and special features for each tour.

  • Coordinate tour logistics, including transportation, permits, and equipment.

2. Guest Interaction:

  • Meet and greet guests, providing them with information about available tours and flight options.

  • Assist guests in choosing the right tour or flight package based on their preferences and needs.

  • Address guest inquiries and ensure their comfort and satisfaction throughout their tour experience.

3. Safety and Compliance:

  • Ensure that all tours and helicopter flights comply with safety regulations and guidelines.

  • Work closely with tour guides, helicopter pilots, and ground staff to maintain high safety standards.

  • Conduct pre-tour safety briefings for guests and provide any necessary safety equipment.

4. Scheduling and Reservation Management:

  • Manage tour and flight schedules, ensuring efficient use of resources and staff.

  • Handle reservations, booking confirmations, and any necessary changes or cancellations.

  • Maintain records of guest information, preferences, and payments.

5. Marketing and Promotion:

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to promote tour and flight packages through various channels.

  • Assist in creating marketing materials, including brochures and online content.

  • Participate in promotional events and outreach to local businesses.

6. Inventory and Equipment Management:

  • Maintain an inventory of tour-related equipment, supplies, and vehicles.

  • Ensure all equipment is in good condition and arrange for repairs or replacements as needed.

  • Keep an organized stock of safety gear and supplies.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a tour coordination or similar role within the hospitality or tourism industry.

  • Strong organizational and planning skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Knowledge of the Kimberley region's attractions, geography, and cultural aspects.

  • Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing situations.

  • Experience in helicopter tour coordination (preferred but not mandatory).

  • A valid driver's license and knowledge of 4WD vehicles (preferred).

Working Conditions:

  • This position requires working in a remote wilderness lodge environment in the Kimberley.

  • Accommodation and meals are provided as part of the employment package.

  • Irregular hours, including weekends and holidays, may be required.

  • The role may involve exposure to varying weather conditions, including extreme heat.

  • Interaction with guests from diverse backgrounds and cultures is a significant part of the job.
